Michael and Sharon Kauffman began operating Main Street Orchids in 1997.  It resulted from a decision to stop spending millions of dollars on orchids and start making millions.  Things haven't quite worked out that way, but we do work hard to provide you with great orchids.

Our greenhouse runs a little warm in the summer and drops to about 60F (minimum) in the winter.

Unfortunately, we are too busy to go to judging. We don't cherry pick any orchids (although we keep a few that we simply can't part with).  So buy with optimism.  You're getting the best we have available.

Our only orchids that get judged are the ones we put into the few shows we do each year.  We would much rather win a cultural award than a flower award.
